Hi! I’m Emelie.

I’ve been obsessed with filmmaking ever since I discovered the “Making Of” featurettes at the end of my Disney VHS tapes when I was four years old.

This obsession propelled me to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where I graduated with honors in 2015 before moving to Los Angeles to become a genre-hopping, award-winning narrative and commercial director.

As both an Eldest Daughter and a Capricorn, I enjoy writing about toxic family dynamics, complicated friendships, and ambitious women, preferably on a deadline. I love training for marathons, devouring romance novels, and my AMC A-List membership.

You can reach me at emelie.claxton@gmail.com, follow me on Instagram, or watch my videos on YouTube.

You can also read about my journey in VoyageLA, and hear about my short film, Doggone, on Cinematography for Actors.
